As a native to the Holland area, I have a deep understanding and love for West Michigan and all it has to offer. My husband, John and I live in a restored farmhouse on some acreage that we completely remodeled about 15 years ago; and I absolutely love the space we have with plenty of room for a garden, a few chickens for fresh eggs, and even a small orchard that we get a few apples and peaches from each year. As of the summer of 2020, we will have reached that place that we keep hearing about, but have yet to experience - we will be “empty-nesters” for the first time in 26 years!

We also, together, own and operate Encompass-Realtors in downtown Holland, and between the two of us have close to 30 years of experience in the world of real estate. Throughout my own years as a real estate agent and more recently as an associate broker, I have learned many things, but perhaps the most important, is that the real estate market is dynamic and cyclic, and not always predictable. The ability to navigate through the changes successfully with my clients has come from my years of experience and an instinct that has developed through these experiences.

I have also learned the deep satisfaction that comes from handing the keys over to first time home buyers, so excited to finally own their own home, or from helping sellers close on their sale, netting more money than they ever expected. To me, real estate isn’t just about buying or selling homes, it’s also about helping my clients identify and evaluate what make the most sense for them in their current situation and then navigating the process in the best way for them to succeed in those goals.
